'I plan to release my new songs as a succession of singles, and possible on a physical Cassette EP! Also gig at festivals and look for a support slot. Write and record new songs as they come. I’m also looking for DJs to remix my tracks. My professional dream is to be able to make a living from my art. I used to be looking for a big record deal, which is hard to get… but now I feel it’s less important. The financial support and marketing would be amazing of course, but it’s not the only way to share music. So I am now happy to have the creative control to express myself exactly as I like, and experiment with my music. My current guitarist has recently been helping me produce my tracks, so he is part of my team. I’ve had managers in the past, but don’t at the moment. Until I’m busy enough to need someone to arrange my schedule, I can manage things myself.
I am a grade 8 classically trained pianist, professional singer and bassist. I have A-level music and Masters in Acting. Family and friends (inner circle) have supported my music from the start, coming to gigs, buying merch, advertising my gigs, encouraging me and being my ‘listening/support group’ when I need opinions. Covid was the worst setback, as I had established resident piano gigs in a members club and West End theatre, and with the lockdowns, those contracts got cancelled! I have played many gigs, as a session musician and also for myself. My other job is piano bar piano/vocalist, and I also play in a Fleetwood Mac tribute band. My Mum and Dad inspired me from when I was a child - and their work ethic has influenced me. They both used to gig at weekends and I used to go and watch them and love it! They both mentor me too. If I could afford it I would have them on my payroll then I would!
I’ve always loved expressing myself, and being creative… via story telling or music. That’s why I love acting too. I embrace being in the moment, and creating a new ‘moment’ for everyone to share in. Changing the energy in a room feels exciting, and I love the exchange of emotion between performer and their audience. We all thrive on art and need it. I adore being a giver of that and I’m also a taker of it! I listen to music all day long, it accompanies me from breakfast, to running, driving, dancing. And I love films, TV, theatre, yoga, walking my dog, running, auditioning, fashion, costumes, practising scales, working on song ideas, planning shows, travelling in London to gigs.'
