A multi-genre violinist, violist and educator breaking the boundaries of classical and pop music, Helena began learning the violin after finding her mums old fiddle when she was 9. Now at 24 years old, Helena enjoys an active session career, performing with Little Mix, Liam Gallagher, and recording DJ Spoony: Garage Classical, an album featuring artists such as Paloma Faith, Craig David and Lily Allen. She has performed on TV shows including It's a Sin, The Graham Norton Show and the Jonathan Ross show.
Seen here listening to the debate at our Buddah Bar Roundtable, she began working professionally in Manchester and London early into her degree at the Royal Northern College of Music. Since graduating with a first-class honors degree in 2019, Helena is a violinist in the Chineke! Orchestra, promoting diversity within the orchestral world and regularly performs in classical music recitals around the UK.
On electric violin, Helena has given high energy performances and choreographed sets at exclusive events with Jam Hot Band and Urban Soul Orchestra. International events include celebrity weddings in Morocco, Monaco and Italy. Helena adores improvisation and is able to move around the room with her wireless system when performing with a DJ. As well as performing solo, Helena loves collaborating with other musicians and creating something special, whether it be a new album or a bespoke event. Connecting and creating a unified voice with others is the reason why she became the musician she is today.
